RULES

To ensure that the outcome of each match or tournament is based on skill the following rules apply:

  • No creating multiple accounts
  • No impersonation of another Gamer Coliseum member; No playing under another GC member’s name (no account sharing)
  • No use of program codes or commands
  • No adapted hardware or software use to assist play
  • Agree on game play settings/terms prior to start of play
  • No use of custom players or teams unless agreed upon and stated in the game play settings prior to the start of the match
  • Play the match and follow the rules
  • No lagging the game on purpose
  • Report the result of the game upon its completion
  • No deliberately losing games for the purpose of obtaining a competitive advantage
  • Provide feedback after each match
  • No Deliberate Disconnect
  • No Cheating

Player Feedback

After you report the outcome of a game or tournament, you are required to rate your opponent on both their sportsmanship and gaming expertise. Select between the five choices you are given in each of the two categories. Try to be objective in your ratings. Player feedback should never be based on whether or not you won or lost the match. These ratings are intended to assist other gamers in choosing future opponents as well as to be a symbol of your gaming experience with a particular gamer.

Disconnects

Unfortunately disconnections are a sporadic and hopefully infrequent component of online video gaming. When a disconnection occurs, players can do one of two things:

(1) The player that is behind in points, can concede/forfeit the game, and report the other player as the winner, or (2) Players can keep the scores they had when the disconnection occurred, start another game with the same game play settings/terms, and play out the time that was remaining on the clock when the disconnection occurred.

  • If a disconnection occurs in the fourth quarter of any football game/match, and you are up by greater than or equal to seventeen (17) points, you are the winner/victor. Both competitors should report/confirm the outcome of the game and declare the winner.
  • If a disconnection occurs in the fourth quarter of any basketball game/match, and you are up by greater than or equal to fifteen (15) points, you are the winner/victor. Both competitors should report/confirm the outcome of the game and declare the winner.
  • If a disconnection occurs during a Halo game and you are up by greater than or equal to fifteen (15) kills, you are the winner/victor. All competitors should report/confirm the outcome of the game and declare the winner.
  • If a disconnection occurs during or after the fifth inning of a baseball game, and you are up by greater than or equal to ten (10) runs, you are the winner/victor. Both competitors should report/confirm the outcome of the game and declare the winner.

Cheating

Deviating or disregarding the preset game play settings agreed upon by opponents prior to the start of a given match is considered cheating. Lying about the results of a match is also considered cheating.

Falsifying results or otherwise cheating in any way in an attempt to unfairly affect the true result of a competitive challenge will not be tolerated. If it is determined that a result is reported falsely, Gamer Coliseum reserves the right and complete authority to suspend or terminate the account of the person submitting the false claim.

Disputes

Disputes are never intended to be a form of revenge for losing, or a routine way to argue about the result of a match.

You are given the option to report cheating to Gamer Coliseum in the form of a dispute. You have 24 hours to submit evidence to support your case when you enter into a dispute in relation to the outcome of a match or competitive challenge. This evidence should be concrete, legitimate, honest and conclusive.

Your dispute must be accompanied by evidence directly related to the dispute at hand – either a picture taken of the television or PC screen, or video of the game in question.

GC reserves the right and complete authority to use a variety of means available to determine and confirm the winner. The decision made by Gamer Coliseum (GC) will be rendered within 72 hours and will be final and not debatable.

A record of all disputes will be kept and closely analyzed. The number of disputes brought forth by a given user will become a part of that user’s profile. If a person is found to have an excessive amount of disputes in a given period of time, GC reserves the right to suspend or terminate that person’s right to hold an account with GamerColiseum.com
